Clarence Avant (February 25th 1931 – August 13th 2023), also known as the “Black Godfather,” was an American Music Executive. He founded several labels, and helped to launch the careers of many successful artists, including Bill Withers, Quincy Jones, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. 🙏🏾 RIP #Legend
